True to my minimalist style I have a manageable amount of beauty products. I keep my beauty routine low maintenance because it is easy and quick! Keep scrolling to find some of my favorite beauty products!
Tarte Foundation
Aside from my quick smash box makeup I use Tarte loose powder foundation. The coverage is incredible and it does not feel like you are wearing anything. It makes my face look silky smooth and is quick and easy to apply. I tend to have a lot lighter skin in the winter (oh man don’t we all, ND girls?) so I mix my usual color with a little lighter color.
Smashbox Compact Foundation
Typically I use this foundation as a quick coverage for a smooth look without the fuss of the powder and brushes. Like the Tarte powder it leaves my face looking silky smooth and lasts all day. I always follow it up with some bronzer but it applies so quickly and covers so well it’s one of my go-to’s.
Two Faced Bronzer
If you haven’t quite figured it out yet, I live in North Dakota and bronzer is a necessary part of my beauty product regimen. I apply a little to my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. It is easy to use too much bronzer to I barely dip my brush in it and glide across those parts of my face that typically would touch the sun. It brightens and helps me look less washed out, so this one is a must!
Bare Minerals Blush
Blush is another one of those necessary pieces of my beauty product regimen, mostly because it adds a little more color to my face. Bare Minerals has been the only line that I have consistently gone back to, after trying other blushes. They have plenty of colors to choose from and if you don’t like the loose powder blush they have the pressed as well. I prefer the loose powder blush because it seems to last longer and go on smoother.
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow pallet
The minimalist comes out in me with my eyeshadow pallets. I used to have too many loose eyeshadows and ultimately would never use them. I chose this pallet for my beauty product regimen because I use all of the colors and they last all day (even through hot yoga!) I also love the mix of shimmer and flat colors. It all depends on my mood that day whether I want a shimmer or a flat color, so I love having the options!
Este Lauder Double Wear Eyeliner
I have always seemed to struggle to find an eyeliner that lasts all day but doesn’t run and make you look as though you have black eyes. Este Lauder Double Wear is my favorite eyeliner because it hits all my must haves. It smooths on like butter and doesn’t pull the skin on my eyes and it has never run! Again, I have even worn this through hot yoga and it has no issues. Win!
IT Cosmetics Brushes
There are plenty of brushes that are worth the money but my current favorite are the IT cosmetic brushes. I tried the large foundation brush first and it was so soft and was easy to clean that I had to jump in and get a few more. A brush with very soft bristles is a must for me, especially with eyeshadow. I highly recommend these!
Cover girl LashBlast Mascara
Mascara is another one of those difficult beauty products to settle on. Cover girl LashBlast Mascara is my favorite and has been the one I always come back to after I try something new. I have never liked the waterproof of this mascara but I love the normal kind. It has a perfect brush that separates my lashes and covers and lengthens well.
Moroccanoil Hairspray
Switching gears a little bit, let’s chat about hairspray. I have a very low maintenance hair regimen but Moroccan is a must have for me. First, it smells amazing. Second, it is a ‘softer’ strong hold and isn’t stiff. I don’t like a firm hold as I like a natural feel. If you have not tired Moroccan you definitely need to!
Primally Pure Deodorant
I always hear people complain about natural deodorants not working. I too have experienced many that do not work, so when I came across Primally Pure I was very skeptical. I was elated to find out it truly does work and is incredible! My true test subject was my husband and he has also tried every natural deodorant that I have and he has hated them all. Primally Pure is husband approved and we both LOVE it!
My beauty product regimen is simple, but I know it is never easy picking them out! You can typically find a lot of these products at Ulta and sometimes Target as well. Hopefully this helps make your next trip to Ulta a little easier!
