Amazon Prime is life

Not really…but it’s pretty freaking cool.

Who else is excited about Amazon Prime Day!?

Just me? Oh bull…you guys are full of it.

If you’re like my husband, you look forward to purchasing the most random but memorable trinkets…like a gun lighter. I mean, no he never did that. He didn’t buy 2 back in his college days and scale my 2nd story balcony to scare off a burglar. #beststoryever

If you aren’t an Amazon Prime member yet, I highly recommend it. It costs $119 a year and provides you unlimited fast shipping – which typically means free 2-day shipping to our home. It saves us so much time and truly, it saves us money because we buy the things we use a lot of in bulk when they are on sale. It also is fantastic when we buy gifts for our families and have it shipped directly to their homes, so for us it is worth it.

Once you become a Prime member, you can participate in Amazon Prime Day.I highly recommend downloading the app as soon as possible as well, so you can take advantage of the features and easy shopping.

Amazon Prime day is July 16th and it starts at 3pm ET. It will last 36 hours and it will feature over one million deals! Each deal runs for a certain period of time, not all at the same time and they will differ depending on what country you are in. A lot of the excitement is not knowing what will be on sale until the day of.

However, there are some things you can do prior to prepare.

  1. Search for Sneak Peek items!
  2. Add those items (or any others) you like or need to “your list” and this will provide you an alert when they go on sale on Prime Day. (Install Amazon Assistant)
  3. Amazon will provide a preview of a lot of the deals prior to them starting so you can choose to watch them, so you don’t miss them.
  4. Check daily at the early prime day deals if you want to take advantage of some deals prior to July 16th
  5. If you’re wondering if “it’s really that good of a deal?” you can use Camel Camel Camel and track Amazon prices.

If you remember, I am a minimalist, so the planning helps me plan for the things I truly need that have been on our list a while or we have run out of. If you aren’t careful you can easily get sucked into a lot of things you don’t need, so be careful but have fun!

Now that we have that out of the way…let’s get to the fun part!

What deals are happening right now:

But, if you’re anything like me, you’re super boring with your shopping most of the time. Amazon Prime is my household and grocery go to when it is cheaper than our local store or Costco. I buy all diapers, wipes, toilet paper and other household staples on Amazon Prime because financially it makes more sense for us.

Oh and by the way, check out the show Goliath on Amazon Prime Video by Amazon Studios. It’s our newest law show obsession.

What are you going to buy on Prime Day?!
